On the water

Sunset Cruises in Grenada

Two hours on the water as the light softens. Share a sailing, or take a yacht for your party alone.

The sun setting over calm water, seen past the rigging of a yacht off Grenada

Grenada Concierge arranges private and shared sunset cruises on seven of Grenada’s yachts, Shadowfax, Incognito Adventures, Flavours of Grenada’s Sea’Fari, Sail Away Grenada, Epiphany, Bacchanal and Spice Princess, as your one point of contact: tell me your date and party size, and I confirm the yacht and the time, and can add your transfer.

A sunset cruise is the gentlest way to spend an evening: around two hours on the water along the Caribbean coast as the light softens, with a drink in hand. Join a shared sailing on Shadowfax, or take a yacht for your party alone. Shared sunset cruises start from USD 85 per person, and private sunset cruises start from USD 500 for the whole yacht, depending on the yacht and inclusions.

Their legacy

For more than four decades, one family has built its life around the sea. Peter and his wife Myrna spent over forty years designing and building yachts, and their skills and salty wisdom passed from one generation to the next.

Today Shadowfax is run by Roger Spronk, who carries that legacy forward with warmth and pride, and his oldest son has now joined the crew.

The family also supports young islanders, opening the door to the charter industry so that the island’s maritime heritage continues to thrive. Sail with Shadowfax and you sail with a community, not just a crew.

Incognito Adventures pours from a full bar with snorkel gear aboard, and Flavours of Grenada serves dinner on a longer evening sail.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a sunset cruise cost?

Shared sunset cruises start from USD 85 per person, and private sunset cruises start from USD 500 for the whole yacht, depending on the yacht and inclusions. Tell me the date and who is coming, and I confirm the exact rate before you book.

Do you add anything to the yacht’s price?

No. The price is the yacht operator’s own rate, the same as booking direct. Additional services I arrange, such as transfers or catering, are quoted separately and agreed before you confirm.

How long is a sunset cruise?

Most sunset cruises last two hours. Sail Away and Incognito Adventures sail for two and a half hours, and the Flavours of Grenada sunset dinner cruise for four and a half.

What is included on a sunset cruise?

On Shadowfax, champagne, a full open bar and light finger foods. On Sail Away, a glass of prosecco for each guest. On Epiphany, rum punch, water and snacks. On Bacchanal and Spice Princess, light snacks, rum punch, local beers, sodas and drinking water. On Incognito Adventures, beers, spirits, soft drinks and rum punch, with pick-up and snorkel gear. Where do the yachts leave from?

Will rain spoil a sunset cruise?

Showers are short, usually a few minutes, and the sun is back before you are. A sunset cruise carries on through them. In the rare case that conditions are unsafe, the operator offers another day or a suitable alternative.
